Budget UK chooses Volkswagen for van rental service

  • Deal includes a total of 500 Volkswagen vans in 2015

London, UK – 1st April 2015

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Budget UK has launched a new van rental service in London and has chosen Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as its sole light commercial vehicle supplier. From 1st April, the UK's leading vehicle rental provider will comprise 100-strong Volkswagen Transporters in London alone, providing business customers and consumers with a fully-flexible fleet solution.

The spacious Transporter model offers payloads of up to 952kg and an impressive load volume of 5.8m3. The vehicles will be packed with handy features including Bluetooth, folding mirrors and parking sensors; making it the perfect partner for moving large loads with minimal stress through the busy capital.

As part of the company's wider fleet restructure, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will also supply a further 300 Transporters and 100 Caddys to bolster its national rental fleet. The brand new fleet will meet the daily needs of the retail customer and suit the long-term requirements of businesses across a large number of locations in the UK.

Budget UK carefully selected Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as their preferred partner due to the brand's strong residual values and desirability. Offering convenient and affordable van hire across the country, the business relies on its vehicles to deliver a premium service.
